In keeping with my own, little self-description, “I am not a music promoter but a promoter of music,” please feel free to use these reviews for your press kits, web pages, etc, but please follow these guidelines:
- A review may be used in part, or in whole, for the promotion of your band/group and music.
- Please ensure that any excerpts are faithfully quoted, with one exception. Many of my reviews use expletives. When I was quoted in The Province newspaper, they removed the word “fucktards” from the quote. Though it did slightly change the tone of the quote, it did get me quoted in a major newspaper; however, expletives are the only content that may be altered.
- If you want to use an entire review on your website, please link to the review rather than cut and paste the review in its entirety. Clicking on the title header will give you the separate link to respective reviews.
- Please attribute the reviews and/or quotes to either “Baron S. Cameron” or “The Aging Rockstar”.
- I ask that any excerpt be quoted in context and in the spirit in which it was written. I do not write bad reviews and it would be a shame to write the first one about how your band pissed me off.
If you would like to me review (text and/or video) your show, send me an e-mail with sufficient advance warning and I will see what I can do. If there is a particluar song in your set that you would like to be used for the video review, please let me know ahead of time. I do not shoot entire sets, because, as a rule, I would rather enjoy it than tape it.
If you would like me to review an album, send me an e-mail and we can work something out.
Baron S. Cameron,
The Aging Rockstar
